Prints in My Farmyard Storybook seem to be by one person, and are very detailed. By looking at the cover and the ONE color plate in the entire book, you can see what might have been if color had been an option for so many illustrations. Both are very colorful and very well executed. The second color print is the cover, which does not need an explanation as to why it has been printed. It's charming!
The prints in this old children's book are so well done we have included 32 of them, even though 30 of them are black and white. Prints are of barnyard animals, children playing, puppies and grown dogs, and buildings and pastures found on any farm. The prints look like coloring book pictures could have started from these exact images. Prints for kids' rooms for sure.
The vintage book, My Farmyard Storybook was written by eight people, including E. Nesbit, Mary Boyle, M.A. Hayer, L. L. Weechon and then the book simply states "etc." The chapters are written by the eight different authors and there are 24 chapters. The 1914 date found was written in an inscription to the recipient, and is the only date that references when the book was possibly written and/or copyrighted. The publisher is listed as E. P. Dutton & Co. of London and New York.
